I went and made a mix again!
It’s my spring/summer thing, I guess. Anywhoo, I made a new summery, sunshiny mix of, quite possibly, that most uplifting songs I’ve ever compiled together. Take that for what you will. This has a bit of this, and a bit of that on it. Pretty much all of the songs I can’t seem to get over at the moment.
I usually mail these out to a hand full of my favorites, but that gets a little expensive so I thought a simple (I hope it is) download would suffice. I hope the playlist file works out okay.
If you’d like a hard copy, just let me know. :)
*I use itunes. I hope you’re not offended.*
———I’m reposting this because I derped and used the wrong file without everything arranged correctly!!! I’m sorry for the confusion! all is fixed :)——-
Bon Iver - Flume
This reminds me of the heat and the summer. The salt in the air and the crisp morning breeze that brought it. Tall skinny trees lining a highway, and the phone conversations they were the backdrop to. This song reminds me of the 2400 miles I traveled from here, to there, and back again, alone with no one but the voices of the radio. It was in the shifting of the gears. It was in lips of those I kissed. It was in the company of my closest friends. It tasted like Camel Lights and Yuengling. The smell of returning home and knowing that nothing would be the same ever again.

life:
It was fifty years ago today that Bob Dylan had his first recording session at Columbia Records. Dylan was backup harmonica for folk singer Caroline Hester — It was shortly after that Dylan was offered his own deal with Columbia.
